Something’s going on in Des Moines right now. A talented crop of singer/songwriters are releasing new music, playing incredible shows and raising the bar on the Midwest music scene.
One of these talented young lads is Danny Heggen of the Seedlings.
Danny has just released a rustic EP of original gems named “Everything Comes from Something.” It’s a wonderful precursor to what I hope is a long writing and recording career from Danny. Check out his music, and definately catch one of his live shows. It’ll be worth it!

My friend Danny Heggen (of local folk group Seedlings) has just written a book about homelessness in Central Iowa. The book release is Friday, June 12th at the Mars Cafe in Des Moines, IA.
To support such fabulous work, Finn Miles will be playing at the Mars for the “post-reading” party. C’mon out and get a copy of Danny’s new book, learn more about what you can do about homeless youth in Central Iowa, and enjoy a Finn Miles show at the hippest cafe’ in Des Moines!
Read more about the book and release party here.

There will be something very, very special about our show on June 12th with the Seedlings at the Mars Cafe. We’ll be announcing a very special new “product” at the show; I can’t wait to share it with you…but I’m sworn to secrecy for now.
Stay tuned….

Heya Finn Miles readers! We had a great first of three shows this weekend at the Vaudeville Mews last night! Despite the chilly night we kept it warm with our friends the Seedlings, including a rendition of the Bob Dylan gem “Wallflower.”
With great sound provided by Logan @ the Mews, the vocals were smooth and clean, an acoustic singer/songwriter’s dream!
Tonight we’ll be at Being There Coffee in Altoona with our dear friends “Tyke.” C’mon out for arts/crafts as well as great music and special deals on Branches CDs!

Keep on reading for more pictures of the exciting night!
