I was talking to my creative artist/game developer friend Josh the other day and he made an astute observation. There is no real artist management in Des Moines for small/medium artists and freelancers. Honestly, for those outside of Central Iowa you might think “Art, in Des Moines? Are you kidding?”

Seriously, there is some bona-fide talent and passion in this town, but not many clients…or at least there seems to be disconnect from entrepreneurial grass-roots art and cha-ching.

Sure, at the bottom level artists need to make their own mojo, but who’s willing to take raw talent and develop it into top-notch success? We’ll keep our eyes out for those magic-makers…
