Finn Miles at Broad Street Cafe – Durham, NC

We’re playing at Broad Street Cafe in Durham, NC this Thursday night at 8:30pm. If you are in NC, be there!

This will be a very special show, including both Scott Gratton and Paul Gratton, together for the first time in two years. The set will feature new songs as well as old favorites, so if you’re anywhere the Triangle in NC c’mon out!

Last Show at the Book and Bean

Unfortunately the Book and Bean in Prineville, Oregon is closing their downtown location. I was lucky enough to get in one last show! Enjoy the pics from 4/12/2013 – with Weiv interactive visuals projected in the background.

Hope Springs Eternal

Hello friends,

It’s  been a busy winter, with the release of Winteresque and a smattering of shows around the Northwest. Springtime is going to be a season of renewal for Finn Miles – let me share.

FinnMiles Scream

First, Winteresque was the end of an era for Finn Miles. It was a collaborative project between Paul and Scott Gratton, written at a time when Finn Miles played as a 5 piece and 3 piece band. Now that Finn Miles is located in Oregon, it’s looking more and more like a solo endeavor with a handful of periodic collaborators.

Second, Weiv has become a bigger part of the shows. I have been busy blogging at the Weiv site, and am looking forward to sharing more interactive scenes in the near future.

Because of these changes I am taking a step back, looking at revamping the Finn Miles look, sound and show. Don’t worry, there will still be a handful of Central Oregon shows in the spring and early summer, but I’d like to journey further out, to Portland and Seattle more often. To do so, I need to tighten a few things up and work on the “business” side of music, making connections and finding new venues.

I encourage you to stay connected. A lot of new music and art is going to come out of this update.

No You Don’t Have to Go Now

It was a beautiful night, warm and wet for mid-January. I was asked to open for Lauren Kershner’s release of her “Snow Angel” single at Silver Moon, as well as VJ with Weiv. I played my heart out, sharing new adaptations of Finn Miles songs on electric guitar.

Enjoy “No you don’t have to go now” (Live at Silver Moon Taproom in Bend, Oregon).
